I am trying to enable IMAP on my SBS 2008 server running exchange 2007. I am using the following command

set-service msExchangeImap4 -startuptype automatic

I then get an error saying

[PS] C:\Windows\System32>set-service msexchangeimap4 -startuptype automatic
Set-Service : Service 'Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 (msexchangeimap4)' cannot be co
nfigured due to the following error: Access is denied
At line:1 char:12
+ set-service  <<<< msexchangeimap4 -startuptype automatic

I am on the administrator account for the server. Any ideas?

All you need to do is:

    start > Run > Services.msc
find Microsoft Exchange IMAP service set it to automatic then enable it.

    Everything else is already setup.
