SNMP Install missing files MSI.MFL

MSI.MFL + other files (DCHP.MIB) files missing on trying to install monitoring rools in MS windows 2003.

Not on CD's - Not in WBEM???

It should be on the OEM CD.  Howerver, as most files, these are in compressed form.

i.e.  MSI.MF_


if you search for MSI.* (instead of MSI.MFL), you should see this on your CD.

When the installer, is installing, it will ask for the CD, browse to the MSI.MF_ file.

No OEM CD 2003 was bought direct from Microsoft. Using a HP server and nothing on the supplied CD's for that that I have found.

However I found the missing files all on the XP Professionall SP3 CD...

The SNMP service is up and running at long last.

Thanks for the advice and not 100% sure if I did evrything correctly but it up at present and allowed the HP Smartupdate to update the software.

cool... glad you got it working.  To be extra safe, you may want to apply the latest service pack to the machine.  This will update any outdated files for you automatically...
