Why is this text being altered in Outlook 2007
Outgoing and incoming e-mails are being altered on one of my customer's machines that uses Outlook 2007.
E-mails are 'changed' after sending as well as e-mails coming in will also be 'changed'.
Here are 3 examples:
"Margin Base Rate                                                         4.59 "
---The Âs were added here where there used to be spaces
"Steve, ââ¬ÅForeââ¬Â !! à Please see important message below regarding Family LP, à that may be effected by the à increase"
.--ââ¬ÅForeââ¬Â !! à added as well as other changes here.
Those were both e-mails that were send out; here is an example of an incoming message altered:
"In the selection of ââ¬ÅCorporationââ¬Â has been added as entity type ââ¬Å8aââ¬Â. The term ââ¬Åshellââ¬Â company refers to non-publicly traded corporations."
So far I have attempted the Detect and Repair option in Outlook, as well as using Total Uninstall to completly remove Office 2007 and then reinstalling the software and the problem still persists.
Any suggestions of anything else I could look into?

I also forgot:
Disable any spam software that may be running.
Temporarily disable e-mail filters/filtering.

Tafaer,
Thanks for the info...
Have tried all listed, SPAM filtering is with Red Condor, filtering is not done on the local computer.

Instead of a new account have you tried a new Outlook profile?

MYCU,
Yes, we actually uninstalled Office, then uninstalled with "Total Uninstall", then reinstalled and reconfigured. Could this be a "font" thing?

What happens if you send an email in plain text format? Does the font still change?
ASKER
MYCU,
The problem starts on replies or forwards, html or plain text...

What about AV software on the computer? Could it be scanning sent and received emails?
ASKER
It is, but this is a network with 50 users all using the same TrendMicro network AV.
