Hi

we are preforming a upgrade on a besserver, we are going trom 4.1 to 5.0 in a Exchange environment. In plan on using knife-edge cutover. Currently are blackberry database is on a remote SQL database.

The question I have is if I do a knife-edge cutover a new service book will be applied to the blackberries, when will my users experience? will they have to reactive there blackberry? will the blackberry go through a mini activation?

No, if the sql database is the same, the users wont go through it. At times, couple of users have to reactivate but that is not something that happens always.

Once the upgrade is finished everything will be ontrack.

The user's wont have any interruption in the blackberry working. But as the version 5.0 has some additional features the users will be able to view those.
