Managed Folder Mailbox Assistant skipping a single mailbox

We have setup various managed folders and set specific retentions on the various managed folders.  When running the Managed Folder Assistant the process runs on all mailboxes specified except one.
In the event log we get the following entry:
Source:MSExchange Assistants
Event ID: 9025
Description: Service MSExchangeMailboxAssistants. Managed Folder Mailbox Assistant skipped 1 mailboxes on database Staff A-C/Staff A-C (54b39b74-accc-4604-8408-01b71b909bfd). Mailboxes:

We have enabled logging for the Managed Folder Assistant and this does not provide any additional information as to why this mailbox is skipped.
Has anyone seen a similar error or has any suggestions as to how to get additional error description.

Is that mailbox a service account (like MOM, for example) or a regular user's account?

This is a regular user account.  Account has been in existence for many years with the same mailbox.  The mailbox was very large, over 4gb, but we have manually deleted many items to get it down to 1.2 GB, and it still skips the mailbox due to errors.
After running the assistant just on this mailbox we also receive the following in the event log:
    Source:MSExchange Assistants
    Event ID: 9022
Service MSExchangeMailboxAssistants. Managed Folder Mailbox Assistant for database Staff A-C/Staff A-C (54b39b74-accc-4604-8408-01b71b909bfd) has finished an on-demand request. 0 out of 1 mailboxes were successfully processed.  1 mailboxes were skipped due to errors.
    Thanks for any insight provided!

Honestly, it sounds like a corrupted mailbox.  I would export the mail, kill the mailbox, recreate it, and import the mail back in.
