Exclude a Distribution Lsit from GAL in exchange 2007

HI ll,

I have just setup a new istribution list in Exchange 2007, this has external contacts, how ever this shows in the Global Address List on all Machines, is there a way that this can be hidden from this list so users dont send a bulk email and include this list?

Thanks in Advance

In Exchange Management console right click the Distribution Group. Go to the Advanced tab and place a check in "Hide group from Exchange Address Lists."

Here's some information regarding the GAL's in Exchange 2007:

If you do not wish to publish these globally, I would recommend sharing this distribution group from an Outlook client, rather than the server.
