I am pretty new to zend amf and was trying to test some codes but for some reason when I try to browse to index.php to see if the end point works it asks me to save the application/x-amf file instead of showing me the end point message.

any idea?

thanks

I don't use Zend AMF but it sounds like a MIME type issue...

Check on this page...
   http://www.amfphp.org/docs/deploying.html

where it says you have to fix some of the apache security settings...
   SecFilterSelective HTTP_Content-Type  "!(^$|^application/x-www-form-urlencoded$|^application/x-amf|^multipart/form-data)"

Thanks CyanBlue.

I don't think my mod_security is enabled at all but I doubled checked and could not find secFilter... in my http.conf and also i checked there is no mod_security.conf.

I don't know if this will help or not, but a quick google search says this...

   http://corlan.org/2008/11/13/flex-and-php-remoting-with-zend-amf/
"In my services-config file I had to add index.php to the end of my endpoint uri path for it to work."

Maybe you could follow the steps in that tutorial and see if that one works???

in face i was trying to follow the exact same tutorial! the services-config file that they're talking about is in to compile the flex portion of the application. to test the endpoint you do need the services-config file.
thanks anyway

well, I could not figure out why apache cannot interpret the index.php using ZendAmf but I learned that despite of that problem you can still retrieve the data from your MySQL/PHP . I had some problems with my codes that's why i blamed it on not being able to brows to my bootstrap file as it is suggested on different articles.
I am using the newer version of ZendAmf compared to the one on that article so maybe this problem is not documented yet.

If that is the case, I think that is the normal behavior...

Mihai says...  "If I hit zend_amf in a browser, I am too prompt to save the file. This is not a problem, it is the normal behavior."
