sql server light

Hi all a while ago I installed visual studio 2008, I think it comes with a desktop version of sql server. if it does can anyone tell me how to access it using SQL serverr management studio.

ive tried using localhost and 127.0.0.1

It comes with SqlExpress
If you have SQL management Studio you can connect to it proberly via (local)/SQLEXPRESS
Else use the Visual Studio IDE as follows:
Open VS2008 - > New Project - >Select : Database and then Sql Server Project - you will then be prompted for server Instance and credentials : put them in (again if you dont know it is proberbly (local)/sqlexpress / else use the drop down provided and select which one you think it is.
You can then use the visual studio IDE to act like query analyser
