Could not power up VM due to lack of storage space

I came in this morning and found my virtual machine would not boot the server due to lack of space.  A backup exec job took place last night and I assume it mounted temp items which used up the rest of its available room.  How do I rectify if I cannot get into the console?

Try reserve max ram to it(same amount you've provisioned), this way it will start without nvram

I have attached the vmhost storage contents.  Unsure what can or cannot be deleted

You can edit VM resource allocation to reserve the memory
Btw, from your screenshot, you have snapshots
If you dont need them, delete them to free space

I deleted the ones I don't need which didn't free any space for some reason (two of them).  I went into the memory resources list as you suggest but the reservation area cannot be expanded past 4mb

When you delete them , did it show as "completed" ?
It may take a while depending on shapshot size

It showed as completed for each one I deleted.  I rebooted it twice afterwards but still achieved no free room

Is the VM in a resource pool? Perhaps the RP is limiting the amount of physical ram so you cant allocate more

How many virtual disks are currently assigned to the VM? I can see many huge files
How many snapshots you have left?

I have one snapshot remaining.  Attached storage may illustrate better.  Obviously, I am a newbee to VM verbage so I hope it helps

Free space is only 4MB!
How many virtual disks are currently assigned to the VM? What is the size for each disk? Go to edit VM setting to check all this

That is correct.  When backupexec ran last night, it mounted the volume but failed to discard the temp directories thus filling the entire disk.  Most probably an unexpected fault due to lack of resources but I did in fact get a good full backup yesterday.
When I remove snapshot, I get a message after with an X stating Insufficient disk space on datastore.  I believe its removing the logical pointer for them but not the data.
The VM has two disks.  One is 280g and the troubled one is 830G with only 4mb avail.  I wonder if it isn't best to try a restore the only available snap shot and recover data from last nights backups.

Try move one of the useless disk to another dstore just to free up space, if it can start then we can figure out what to do next
If you can, paste the output of
ls -lah /vmfs/volumes/your_datastore/your_vm for clear view of what files are inside vm directory

I removed the secondary and it freed up only 1 meg.  Screenshot of the window and displaying it is not something I can do.  If I revert to snapshot, will I still encounter the same disk space error I get now or will I be okay?

Did you try to move the useless files to another datastore via the datastore browser?

How about deleting the files? You still get errors?

No errors deleting the files.  I ended up reverting and am in the process of recovery which will take two hours.  I appreciate your efforts.
