lenovo thinkpad T400 boot problem

Hey

I need to repair a lenovo thinkpad T400.
The problem I have is that i won't boot, it hangs at the screen with the thinkpad logo on it.
I tried different things.
I swaped the harddrive, disconnected the cmos battery and held down the power key for 10 seconds.
nothing worked.
Can anybody help me please???

I've seen that you've already tried everything from this topic:

without luck.
It probably is a MBO issue.

It seems that you're not the only one with this problem. This laptop is probably still under warranty, so you can easily gave it to service department.

Have you tried a Repair?
XP Repair instructions.

A Repair is not designed to overwrite your user data. But you may want to take the precaution. Please note that a Repair will overwrite your Service Pack. You will need to reinstall that and some Hotfixes.
I've also seen this occur with Dell's (and Lenovo's) that have a faulty or incorrect video driver. So if a Repair works, you may want to update the video driver. I would also recommend that you make sure that the system is up to date with the latest BIOS version. Please note that if you update the BIOS that you update for your specific make and model or you will ruin the system.
