Exchange not syncing but says connected.

We have one user who is not getting mail regularly.  His Outlook says connected to exchange but no mail comes in.  He gets mail from his other POP accounts but nothing though exchange.  What i have to do is go to the exchange send and receive tabs, and choose send and receive for the exchange inbox.

DNS is right, IP is good, no other issues, any suggestions?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try checking the send and recieve groups to make sure everything is correct there.  You can follow the document below to create a new group to see if the old group has something wrong.

Are you using Cache Mode?  If you are try turning it off.

Turning Cached mode off just proves that there is something wrong with the OST and that is causing the problem.  Most likely there is a corrupt email in there.  Move the old OST to a different location and turn Cached mode back up and let it recreate the OST.  If it still doesn't work then it's a bad email and depending on how big the mail box is it could be fun trying to find it.
