Verify Patch Installation

I need a script that will verify patch installation on our severs. If possible I would like to intergrate into Openview to push out an alert if the install failed...any ideas?

The following script will give you a listing of all of the patches and installed dates on a computer.

wmic /node:{computername} qfe get hotfixid,installedon
