What about mRemote?
It's open source and free.
You can import from AD within the program...

It sounds like he has to use Windows based RDP only.

I really don't know.  The only suggestion I could make would be to create some sort of custom script.  This is beyond my scope of knowledge.  Perhaps you could create some sort of roster of all the servers' IP addresses and then simply launch RDP via CMD.

Example:

MSTSC - http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/ts_cmd_mstsc.mspx?mfr=true

Start -> RUN -> MSTSC /v:192.168.1.1 ->ENTER

Perhaps you could script something up that would use this?  I wish I could be of more help.

This isn't exactly what you were looking for, but it might help.

http://windowsadvice.com/blogs/owsteve/archive/2005/03/16/42.aspx

On this page, there is a script that will create RDP connection files for each server listed in a text file. You can include your saved username/password as well. This won't help with the Remote Desktops MMC, but at least you will have RDP files for all your servers which you can just double-click to connect.

Hope this helps
