Suppress Group Header If Subreports in Group Footers Return No Information

I have a crystal report that has one group, consisting of a group header and 9 group footers. In each of the group footers I have a separate subreport. I have the subreports set so that they are suppressed on the main report, if blank. What I am wondering is how I can supress the Group Header, if all of the Group Footers are blank?

Since the subreports are run after the group header is built and displayed there is no way to use them.

The only way would be to build subreports that check if there is data and put them in the group header and suppress using the values returned from them.

Can you please explain how I could go about doing this?

The easy way is to put the existng subreports in the header and pass a value back from wach that indicates if there were records.

A better way would be to develop a subreport that simply uses the same data source and just test how many records were returned.
