Changing Registration Name in Windows 2003 small business server

Hello,

Client has a 2003 Windows small business server.  The server is registered under older owner, he has sold his half of the business to a partner.  but the server was registered under the old owner's name so his name shows up in the remote web workplace directory.  In paticular in the username and password prompt of RWW site and even after logging in, it will show up in the title bar/menu at the top.  Is there a way to change this?  already made changes in  IIS and wherever the changes can be made.  Suspect that this is in registry but don't know where.  Hopefully the change won't effect the functionality of the server as well.

thanks!

There are 2 locations in the registry.

I cannot recall the exact location if the keys but if you search for the text in the registry you should find them.

I think there under HKRY_LOCAL_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT

but not 100% sure.  Just make a backup if any changes before you make them.

Do you know if changing the registration name will cause issues?

Thanks!

No it doesn't and if you give me a minute I will find the keys for you.

I have done it a few times.
