A drive mapped to a Win 2008 server shows empty but is not

An XP PC having drive S: mapped to \\server\share is showing no contents in the drive S: on the workstation.  When you RDP to the server and look data is there.

if the user logs into another workstation can they see the contents of the share? If yes, then reset the computer account, and re-join the PC to the domain.

If no, then check security, app, and sys logs on the file server see if there's anything there at the time of the user drive mapping. Also try running the login script from a command prompt on the workstation. See if you're getting an error during drive mapping.
