Hi,
I do not know what ping means. Quickbooks does not have logs. Quickbooks is suppose to run off the same folder in both computers. Computer #1 is fine, but I cannot get the same folder to show on Computer #2, therefor it will not update.
Thanks

Do you have a networking group?
Ping is a command that you run from a command prompt.
Are you in a Active Directory enviroment, or are you in Workgroup environment?
I am assuming that the folder is on a server someplace. Does the user-id on computer #2 have the correct access on the server?

When you say update, do you mean the data or the program? While you should be able to share the update in a network setup, you can still just turn off update sharing and get the update for each system seperately. This is not recommend only because you run the risk of some systems updateing and others not, but if it's just the two systems, I wouldn't worry about it.

What I mean is when I work on my computer, everything I put into it should go on to my bosses computer.
I am on Multi user, but my boss is stuck in single user. Why? I do not know.

Dear manmmm:
Have you verified that both you and your boss are using the same shared QB company file? I've had cases were Pointy Hair Bosses thought they were smart by making a copy of the shared company files on their local drive to increase access speed. That should be easy to check out.
Best regards,
Frelling

Does Quickbooks have any logs? If so do the logs show any errors?
Are there any errors in the event log?
