How to put a date on the photo from Canon SD1000

Hi,

I have a Canon SD1000 digital camera and when I download my photos it sort all images by date in a specific folder.

What I need to know is: Is thre a way to put the date directly on the photos like that I could see the date on the printed photos?

Thank you.

SAM2009,

Yes. This can be done with any one of a number of batch processing programs. I can make recommendations if you wish. However, this either permanently changes your image or creates a copy of the image with the date permanently part of the image, so I'm curious why you would want to do that?

Cheers,

I reason is when my wife printed the pictures she always has to put the date manually on the back of the photos and she's tired of doing that. That is why, so could you suggest me one?

Thank you.

Here's two:
Faststone Image Resizer: http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm
Irfanview: http://www.irfanview.com/

Each of these has batch processing capability, and can add text to the image based on variables in the image, such as the date & time when the image was taken.
