incoming email messages in server mail box do not release messages into their databases

Hi there,
I have one issue with my cluster server.
I have two servers clustered, when the main server shutdown the second switch over. The issue is, all the incoming messages in the server mail box of the second server do not drop the incoming messages into their respective databases, they just pending there. I have checked around the security and compared the both server, they are all same configuration.

Instructions or advices from you all would be much helpful and I would appreciate that.

Hi,
Make sure you set the notes.ini setting mailclusterfailover=1 on both servers.
here's a link to an old, but still valid and useful document -
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/library/ls-Configuring_a_Cluster/index.html

Good luck,
dave

    Hi there dannycom,,,

Before, I start talking about any suggetions may I ask if you have already compared the server , configuration, connections documents of both servers of the cluster . Moreover, I wonder if you are using the related PF installed on the LND server or not ????

- So,  the messages are received in the Mail.box but not delievered to the corrsponding recepients ....
How many Mail.boxs do you have ?????
Did you try to stop the router then start it and see if this works or not ???
- tell router q
-load router

Did you try to put the main server up then on the second server put LN down and rename the Mail.box then run LND . Afterwards, you can put the main server down and check if the problem on the second server was fixed or not ..

Best Wishes

Hi,

Thanks for all comments.
I have get through for all the links you all provided and then I check mine and saw the mailclusterfailover=1 has already there in notes.ini in both server.
I haven't tried to stop and restart router, I'll try it afterward.
I only tried to put the main server down and testing some messages by sending outside sucessfully and then reply but the messages replied were pending all in the second server mail.box.

Also, try remember to perform the mail.box renaming as I recommended in my previous post .
..on both servers do you have one mail.box on each server ???? if so create an additional one on each server ..... put LND down first  then do the following
Configuration Document===>Router/SMTP===>Basics===>Router/SMTP Basiscs..... Number of Mailboexs
Start LND ..

I configured on each server to have two mail boxes. So, there are already two mail boxes on each server.
