Backup Exec 12

I have a Windows 2003 Server running Symantec Backup Exec 12.
Up till recently, I had a failed backup due to a scheduled downtime.
The backup status after that was completed with exceptions.
The day after, the backup jobs were completed successfully without any exceptions.
But out of the blue, it would come back again.

Attached is the list of exceptions.

    Accepted Solution

    Exceptions are files which were either in use, open or corrupt ;

    your log indicates mcafee, so probably these files are being used somehow by the AV itself ;
    you can exculde the paths for your AV or any such files which you think aren't important to be backed up and are causing these exceptions.

    even though you have exceptions, but the rest of the data gets backed up successfully.

    hope this helps

    PS : You can go into your job properties and exclude the folders in your log (if the files aren't important)
    You can also try to use the AOFO (advanced open file option) - it may help but if its AV related, just exclude them.
