cannot mount share on windows 2008 server

Dear Expert
I have problem wit mounting network share on windows 2008 server
Issuing command  results in error:

C:\Users\Administrator>NET USE R: \\\share /user:user pass
System error 86 has occurred.

The specified network password is not correct.

The same command on window vista works fine

    To work around this issue, make the following change in the Startup.ncf file on the NetWare server:
       ENABLE CHECKSUMS=1 or 0

    If the above does not work,
    Give this a try:

    1. Run secpol.msc.
    2. Under Local Policies -> Security Options
    Change the value of "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level" from:
    NTVLM2 responses only
    LM and NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated

    actually you have to change it through regedit

    The above didn't seem to work for me...
    What I did find is that the clock on my QNAP (that I was connecting to) was 1 hour out due to daylight savings.  I corrected it and the error "System error 86 has occurred" was gone and it connected.

    Hope this note helps someone.
