Permanent vertical scrollbar on windows remote desktop client

From Windows 7 when connecting to 3 different Windows 2003 servers via Remote Desktop Connections the RDS client has a permanent vertical scrollbar and I must scroll up and down to access the screen. I have tried many different display sizes and only full screen gets rid of the scrollbars. When maximize is clicked, the scrollbars remain and I can't make the window taller by dragging the edge. This was not always the case and started about two weeks ago. Something must have changed, though I don't know what. Thanks for any help!

This is probably because you have lowered the display of the remote desktop.
Set it to full screen and see if it makes a difference.

For the screenshot I had the RDP client set to 1024x768 (though i can set it to anything and the same occurs) and was displaying on a 1680x1050 monitor. If i set the RDP client to Full Screen then it does work fine (no scrollbar). I would like to work within the remote desktop from a window and not have to go full screen. Any ideas?

not actually,because that scroll bar has a purpose.If it was not there
then you could not see RDP entire screen.It is probably hardcoded
(fsScrollbars:=fs Vertical).
