Access table not taking Decimal for number field

I have an Access table that a field taht I have defined as a number. I have put 2 decimal places - the problem I am having is that whenyou put a number in it defaults to a whole number with out the decimals.

    go to design mode and select double for "Field size" and select 4 for "Decimal Places" and test again...

    it is because you have integer field or decimal places is set to 0...
