I need to perform a search in outlook to look for emails which exclude a specific recipient.

i.e  I received 100 emails from and my colleague was supposed to receive these also, but we need to check this.  So i want to perform a search in Outlook to look for emails received from that HAVE NOT gone to my colleague i.e.

How can I do this?  Is there functionality in Outlook to do this?

You can try an advanced search in Outlook. If emails from are supposed to be sent to the both of you then when you go into the advanced find under the Messages tab, place a check mark in the "Where I am" box and select from the options on the drop down menu. For instance, if both of you were supposed to be placed on the To line from and only you were, it will bring up those messages and you will be able to see which ones your colleage was excluded from.

There is no functionality out of box in Outlook that will compare 2 mailboxes for same mail.

    Accepted Solution

I used the advanced filter and selected where the email fields 'doesn't contain' and entered in the email address.
