On of the computer at work has just been updated from office 2002 to office 2003. Now the Microsoft Rich textbox control 6.0 on my ms access forms are promting errors.

When I try to add new rich textbox I get the following error:

It's even more serious than...
Microsoft office access doesn't support this Activex control.

Actually it's :
Microsoft doesn't support this Activex control any more.

It was disabled because of security issues.

You can get round it if you are prepared to risk it..

OK Since I will be installing the application on a number of computers that option will be a major headache.

I have just downloaded Lebans rich textbox and it opens. However, I can't get the scrollbar to stay on when the textbox loss focus.

1) Is this fuction available on lebans
2) Is it likely that the change to microsoft will affect lebans rich textbox

Or you upgrade to Access 2007, which has a new (and much better) Rich Text feature.

Can you explain the need/problem?

The Lebans RTB has been around for a while, but it is based on the MS RTB control, if I recall correctly. You can contact Stephen directly about this, he'd be the best source of information on his controls.

If I'm not mistaken, all the functionality found in the MS control is available in the Lebans control. Note also there can be printing issues with these controls, so make sure that everything works as planned before moving ahead full steam. I purchased the FMS Memo control just for those reasons.
