how do i fix internal companyweb not fully working for 1 user on 1 workstation?

i have 1 domain user login on 1 computer that does not work correct with the internal companyweb. the links, drop down menus do not work. the user can "add new annoucement" and fill in the form but can not post it. if this user logs in dif workstation works fine. if dif user logs in on the 1 computer it works fine. i know this is maybe something simple i over looking in the user account settings or something. i can not find the problem. would profer not to delete the user and recreate as it is a primary possition. a little inconvenient not have use of companyweb. any suggestions are invited.

Hi,

Try deleting the user local profile off the computer. Not sure what client operating system you are using though. My computer > Properties > Advanced > User Profiles > Settings > Username > Delete.

Make sure you backup any files from the C:\ drive that may be stored under the users profile such as PST files first from C:\Documents and Settings\UserName.

i guess you can also try to clear all the browers cache, history, cookies.  Im sure youve allready tried that.  You can also do browser reset back to default and set if that hsakes something out.

also mke sure that they have loaded the active x component, you know thatone that wants to load when you first open moss in ie and evryone refused to load.

All that stuff not working is usually linked to the security settings. He is unable to execute certain javascript functions that are needed to do what you describe. First of all I would suggest adding companyweb to the trusted sites / intranet sites. That usually does the trick.

Add them website into the user's trust sites.

Also, reinstall IE 7 make sure you don't have IE 8 installed since I have seen issues like this in this verison.
