trying to browse http://localhost and i get HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.

Event Viewer -> "The Module DLL C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\static.dll failed to load.  The data is the error."

i open servermanager and in events tab i get the following error:
Application pool 'DefaultAppPool' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool.

in IIS Manager when i try recycle DefaultAppPool, i get this error:
The object identifier does not represent a valid object.

using win2008 server, iis 7.0, x64.
