Earliest and oldest dates supported by Outlook 2003 or Sharepoint 2007

What is the oldest and latest calendar date supported by Outlook 2003 or Sharepoint 2007? Is it 1699 to 2099 or something similar? I have looked but cannot find that.

    Why would you need to add Calendar items from the 1600s?  Or add Calendar items in the 2100s?  That's
    what I call long-term planning :)

    FWIW, I was able to enter a Calendar item in Outlook for 1 Jan 1602...

    We have a museum and guides want to enter dates from past centuries.

    I tested it both in the calendar and in a regular datetime field and I get this message in SharePoint:

    You must specify a valid date within the range of 1/01/1900 and 31/12/8900.

    OK, I think they will go more with a 'one this day in history' format and not try to add past events to the actual year they happened.
