How does Dell compare vs HP vs IBM?

We are currently a Dell Shop (Desktop/Laptop/Server) but this year we are going to look at other vendors listed in the title. How does HP or IBM compare in reference to enterprise level support and hardware reliabilty? I think Dell Gold support does an excellent job and I have no significant issues with hardware. I have seen some periodic issues with certain desktop models.

I would like to see what people have experienced in the last year or so with HP or IBM. Server service and reliability, Desktop/laptop reliability, etc.

We have all HP server and Dell workstations.  I am very pleased with HP and wouldn't use anything else.  The Support has been accomodating when I have needed to use it (which is rare).  The hardware is second to none in my opinion and I would highly recommend HP hardware and support (specifically the Proliant series) to anyone.

I agree with AncientFrib.  We also get better warranties through HP than through IBM.  Most of our servers, workstations and notebooks are HPs and I'm very satisfied with the reliability and support.

So long as you don't buy a 100 series HP thinking it is a proper Proliant you'll be all right.

Ideally I was hoping to get feedback from someone who has had Dell and HP so I can get a realistic comparison. For example what AncientFrib says about HP is what I would currently say about Dell because it is all we have used and have not had any issues.
