Vegas Movie Studio 9.0 Platinum suddenly rendering a certain clip as black

I'm completely confused.

I've rendered these videos hundred of times (an AVI) and the 2nd clip was always there.

Suddenly whenever I render, that clips only plays audio and shows up as black on the screen. What did I do wrong? Is there a setting for clips that would make this happen?

So Far I've:
- Checked loop region, rendered with and without, same problem
- Checked pan and crop on the clip, made sure the clip was front and center, same problem
- Moved clip to a different track and renderd, same problem

Help, please!

freshjuice,  don't really know, but if I've rendered these videos hundred of times maybe I forget something. And the original clip has been altered.
for a starting point since this is avi usually have divx properties
try dropping this clip onto gspot it establishes what video and audio codecs are required to play any video. Shows framerate, duration, aspect ratio, bitrates, structure info, and more. Supports AVI, MPG, VOB, DVD, VCD, SVCD, MP4, FLV, MOV, QT, RM, SWF, WMV, ASF.
What you mean by render dear?
Rendering is the process of generating an image from a model, by means of computer programs.

I found a suggested solution on another forum where they said change the Frame per Second rendering settings to 30. I tried that (it was at 24 frames per second) and the problem went away.
