Cisco 2950 Gig MTU RX TX
We have customers that need to be able to transmit
and receive jumbo packets - we use Cisco ME3400's to
hand off to the customer CPE. At this time all
customers that need the jumbo packet capacity are on
fiber rings with only ME3400's deployed connected to
our core 3550's switches.
We have several fiber rings with Cisco 2950 switches
deployed connected to our core 3550 switches. Cisco
2950 switches allow per vlan mtu configuration. If
we set the 2950 vlan mtu to the jumbo size ie 1998
for the customer vlan, still using an ME3400 for
handoff to the customer CPE, will the 2950 gig ports
send and receive the larger MTU's ?
