Upgrading a limited user account to Admin

Hi everyone, I'm working with a server which I only have access to their limited user account. I cannot install any software on this machine unless I have ADMIN rights. The issue is that the owner had the server setup a long time ago and the person who worked on it never provided him the Admin password.

Is there anyway I can upgrade the limited user account to Admin? Or what I can do to by pass this so I can install new software on the machine?
