Are there any other deices working on wired connections? Sounds like maybe there is a DHCP issue and only giving one address? Do an ipconfig /all and see what address being assigned to wireless on each when one knocks the other off.

I would check your settings in the router, sounds like an ip conflict so when the other one trys to connect it is kicking them both off.

you could try checking DHCP is working properly and enabled if so you could put each laptop on a static ip so never conficts etc.

Check your settings first and go from there.

If I connect two laptops of b/g adaptor they work fine. But when I connect b/g/n adaptor laptop, then the problem comes. I tried static. Still issue. I think the problem is in b/g/n adaptor laptop. The checked the advanced setting and configured the same channel of router which is channel 11. I dont know what else to try. I thought of returning b/g/n adaptor laptop. I think this intel wifi 5100 adaptor has compatibility issues with wireless g router. The connection also drops frequently. Where as b/g adaptor laptop is fine..

In the settings for the adapter can you change it to use just B and G to see if that works. You might want N down the road so I would not get rid of it if it is possible to work around it in this environment.
