Simple Question - how to escape from adding an ACT group.

I'm newish to using ACT in anger. I clicked on add new Group when I didn't intend to and now I can't get out. It won;t let me abandon the add. I just get an error message telling me to enter  a Group name!

The only option is to end ACT. I am an experience IT user but I'm stuck on this one.

Please help!

This can depend on the version of ACT!...

But you can always just put in a name, save it and then delete it.

version 12

But it seems so silly and I am going to have to train people on this!
Surely there is a better way.

I just checked... no esc or undo until you add a name.

Same with Contacts and Companies... although with Contacts you don't have to add a name unless you have dupe checking and already have a blank contact

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

Seems a strange over site.

Thanks very much for checking this - I didn't want to look like an idiot when I did the training.

If you're on LinkedIN, you should join the ACT! Fanatics Group http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=49896

One of the members has just posted a link to all his video training in ACT! - available for free.
