SBS 2003 - VPN connection reliability

Are there any configuration settings to "tweak" VPN connections on a SBS 2003/ISA 2004 server?
Remote users complain that they get disconnected from time-to-time with a VPN connection but direct Remote Desktop connections are very reliable.

Not particularly but I assume you have ISA2004 sp3 deployed.
Two normal areas to check are that:

1) the MTU is not set too high;
2) In the ISA gui, you have not blocked IP fragments. This would definitely cause a problem.

1) ISA Server 2004 Version 4.0.2167.909  -  not sure what service pack.
2) Not sure where to check the MTU setting.  What should it be set at (best practices)?
3) Block IP fragments under IP preferences is NOT checked.

If you don't know, look at the control anel add/remove programs. Ask the administrator of the system, they should know or they shouldn't be doing the job :)
By default it is at 1500 on most modern units but somethimes it needs to be brought down if the router is struggling.
Are you sure the problem is at your end and not with the ISP? have they checked the line qualtity for you?

No suggestins have worked.  VPN connections still drop for some remote clients.
