Publisher cannot open the file

I have created a document using Publisher 2007 and everything was fine, I saved the file and now when I try to open it I get the error box "Publisher cannot open the file".  I spent hours on this document, is there anyway to figure out why it is not opening it or recover it???  I can open all my other documents fine, it's just the one document.

Here is a link to the file - if someone can open it and create a pdf version for me, that would be awesome!

I was able to open your 10 page document, however I am missing several fonts, therefore the layout is somewhat garbled.

If you could provide me with the following font files, I will be glad to install them and open the file again. Then I can save it as a pdf, however, I would also like to try saving it as a Publisher file (to see if you could open it).

The fonts I need are: Toolbox Std, Fontdinerdotcom Sparkly, AL Heavenly, Occidental, and AL Serenade.

I had a friend that had the fonts and she was able to make a pdf for me.  Thank you anyway.  I would really like to know what is keeping me from opening the file.  It happened once before on another file and I just had to recreate it.  I'm afraid now with every file.  I would like to know how to keep it from happening.

Here is another link -

Looks like it worked for some people, but not for others.

I have installed the hotfix and it just did it again on another file and I still can't open the other file!

I have been reading about this issue and it seems like numerous people are having (or have had) the same exact problem. The only other possibly relevant information I found was an Oct 2009 hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976177/en-us
And if that does work after you execute it, the only other suggestion I was able to find was to uninstall and reinstall Publisher 2007. These solutions worked for a few people, but not everybody.
However, when you do find a solution, it would be appreciated if you could post it here.

Yeah, I tried that one too....I'll keep looking and post if I find a solution.  For this last file I was able to open it on another computer that has Publisher 2003 but the file before that didn't work in either.

.....Just another reason to be cautious if you are considering upgrading to Office 2007.

Good luck!
