Web Client Network empty  on XP and Web Client Network on Windows 7

I have two questions that are related:

I have a Windows XP client that browses to My Network Places / Entire Network / Web Client network and does not see anything listed.  However I have other XP systems in the office next this one who can see the SharePoint data in Web Client Network.  I have confirmed that Web Client Network is listed in the Provider Order of Advanced Settings of the Network setup.

On Windows 7, My Network Places and Entire Network do not show up in Explorer as they did in XP.  Is there an equivilent location - and where is it?

Thank you!

This is really a Windows 7 question and nothing to do with Sharepoint.  Windows stores entries in the 'My Network Places' as you browse or access them.  It doesn't gather them automatically.

I don't know where they are located in Windows 7.

Select the 'Request Attention' and request that the primary zone be changed to 'Windows 7' and have it resent as a neglected question.  Right now only Sharepoint experts are seeing this question

This solution only partially applies to my setup.
