How to maintain Windows Media Player window size after closing.

hello-

in windows 7. how can i have media player remember the windows size it was set to when closed?  i used to have this setup in xp and can't figure it out.

I believe if you physically adjust the size of media player by grabbing the edges of the player and adjusting it to the size you want and then close media player it will reopen at that size next time.

Size the window to your preferred size and hold Control when you close the window. It should open this size when you reopen the app.

Do these two things:

1. Right click the Media Player Taskbar Icon. This will display the Jump List with all of the recent files. At the bottom of the Jump List, right click 'Windows Media Player' and select Properties/Shortcut Tab. In the Run Box, select the Maximized option.

AND

2. Play a video in WMP.  While the video is playing, right-click anywhere in the video and uncheck the "Fit Player to Video" option.

Let me know if this works.
