Dell Drac 5 install problem

I just purchased a dell 2950 server and also purchased a Drac 5 card with cables (separately from another vendor)
If I install the card where it's suppose to be the edge connector on the card is next to the exterior of the case and does not plug into anything so the card does not work. Here is an image http://sourceforge.jp/projects/linuxserver/wiki/00image/attach/DRAC5.jpg

If I install it upside down and plug the edge connector into the riser on the motherboard the card works (somewhat) as I can secure shell into it and powerup and powerdown the server however none of the other features work - no https no vnc.
Am I missing a jumper setting or some other hardware?

Ask also your vendor if the cables are compatible with the Dell hardware !

I am now certain the card is bad and have ordered a new one. Even connected and inserted correctly all I can do is shell into the card and have no other access. The ribbins are 44 and 50 pin and OEM as is the card so it's narrowed down to this. Thanks for the replay

The DRAC5 does not fit into a slot.  Its functionality is provided via the two cables.  Did your vendor provide you with the drivers or did the 2950 recognize the DRAC5 ?
If you are using Dell's Open Manager Server Administrator, you can configure it via this application.
Open Manage Server Administrator 6.1 full package, released 7/2/09. This software allows you to view system health, logs, and includes RAID storage management. Once ran it extracts to the C:\OpenManage\windows\ folder, run setup.exe to install, 142mb: http://ftp.us.dell.com/sysman/OM_6.1.0_ManNode_A00.exe
