I tried to print a document from my work computer at home on my default printer.  I have turned off the default printer and tried to uninstall it.  Everything works fine now that the spooler exe isn't using 100% of the CPU (with printer off).  How can I delete the document from the printer que? It just stays there when I try to cancel it.    I haven't tried restarting, yet.

You may need to restart the print spooler.

1. Go to a command line.
2. net stop spooler
3. net start spooler

While I was waiting for a reply I restarted.  That eliminated the residual item from the remote computer.  Then I reinstalled the printer and all is good, now.  I didn't get a chance to try the solution you posted.  I probably won't try to print a file at home directly from my office computer again!  I will transfer the file to my home computer before printing.
