I bought the  Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950Q USB Hybrid TV (compatible with Windows 7 right on the box) stick on Jan. 7th so that I could watch the BCS Championship Game on my computer.  I got it home had it up and running within 15 minutes on my Windows7 Ultimate desktop with Media Center.  I didn't load the WinTV v7 that came with the device.  Worked great, no issues at all.   The next morning, I wanted to watch my local news, and nothing, no signal, media center locked up; rebooted, same thing, media center locked up.
Anyone else have this issue?   I have tried everything that I can think of.  Unistalled drivers, reinstalled, tried the device on my XP Pro laptop, still did not work.   Can these things just blow after 1 use?
thanks for any feedback

Can it blow after one use. Absolutely, indeed this is the most likely time for new electronics to fail. The test would be another PC, which you have done. Take it back.
