Do you have experience in Qlogic SAN and snapshot replication availability in it?

Is there a link where we can read the san snapshot feature (where you can freeze a particular set of data and move it to another part of the san in a very short period of time)  of this or any other vendor, in terms of what is the pros/cons and what is (and how much is) involved in implementing san snapshot?

thanks

I don't think you'll find that Qlogic make any storage arrays, just HBAs and more recently switches. Whos make is the array really?

Depends on which model you have. Some low end models (e.g. DS3xxx, DS5020) have very limited (e.g. 2 FlashCopy) comes standard but customer have to pay to license more. Some higher end models come with enough license for practical use.

This is for standard IBM branded SAN. I am not sure for those that are resell by other vendors (e.g. Dell).

GuruChiu,
