dlcx-device hangs up Dell printer
After installing a new hard drive and Vista OS on a tower the Dell 926 printer would only print one page and then hang. Uninstalled the drivers and software, even used Dells special removal tool, but it still hangs. Found a resultant error in Event Viewer stating The dlcx-device service is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services. This service may not function properly.
Went into services.msc and found everything OK for Interactive Services Detection. It was automatic for startup type, but stopped and restarted it anyway. Still hangs. The dlcx-device is associated with dlcxcoms.exe which is a Dell AIO and photo printer driver.
Any ideas?
