Internal Error 25003 when installing VS .NET 2003 Enterprise Developer

I am trying to install MS VS .NET 2003 Enterprise Developer on  MS Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition SP 2. The server is a clone of another server.  After the cloning I have successfully installed VS .NET 2003 on the original server. (There has different activity on both servers after the cloning, but none I see relevant for having this problem).
I am installing the files from the hard drive.

After have chosen what to install in the setup start, after a few seconds it halts and a pop up message appears with the message "Internal Error 25003" (Attached image: InternalError.jpg). When I press OK, one more pop up message appears with the same message. After pressing OK again I get the Setup Failed page (Attached image: setupFailed.jpg).

I have looked through the error (Attached file: vserror71.txt) and installation (Attached file: vsinstall71.txt) log to find the problem. I have searched on internet for a solution, but I have not got it working yet. I have also looked at the original and the cloned server for any differences, especially security settings on folders that might be relevant to the install. (Inetpub, WINDOWS, Program Files).
There might be other folders that I have missed.

These are some of the solutions I have tried:

Hope anyone can help.

It seems the installation files both on the original and the cloned server were corrupted somehow. Because when I copied the files over from the CD's again directly to the cloned server, the installation worked.
