use the setStyle method with a textformat object, e.g.,
import fl.controls.RadioButton;

var format:TextFormat = new TextFormat("Tahoma",11,0xFF0000);

var bob:RadioButton = new RadioButton();
bob.label = "some label";
bob.setStyle("textFormat", format);
addChild(bob);
