Reporting Services 2000 RTF formatting

Hi all,

I am looking at creating a report in SQL Reporting Services 2000 that will use some SQL Server data that is formatted (RTF). This data is held in a text field in the SQL Server table. Is there anyway I can use a richtextbox or something to get the test out and show the formatting?

I know in Crystal Reports there is something called text interpretation that can be switched to rtf but I'd really like to use Reporting Services for this particular report. However, not being able to show the formatting would be a show stopper for that avenue.

Cheers

Rich text is not supported in SSRS 2000.  I've read a couple of articles that describe how to use custom code to read RTF, but they end up stripping out the formatting which kind of defeats the purpose of using it.  If it's a show stopper like you said, you're probably better off with Crystal.

Do you know if it is supported in 2005?

It's not supported in 2005 either.  I've read that it in SSRS 2008, but I haven't had a chance to try it out, yet.
