Word 2007 not pulling full list in sharepoint document properties?

In SharePoint, when I create a new document in a doc library, the document properties windows shows above the document in Word 2007.

In these properties, one of the fields is a lookup to another list and has a dropdown that should contain like 300 items or so to choose from.

In Word 2007,   the dropdown only displays like 100 or so and does not allow you to choose any resources further down the list.

When you save the file in Word 2003, the web file properties come up and you are able to see the entire drop-down list.   Word 2003 is working properly.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

my guess is that your sharepoint list view is set to display only the first 100 items. Word 2003 doesn't integrate as fully and probably doesn't recognize that setting. Try increasing the setting on the list view in sharepoint and see if it resolves the issue.

To do that you go to the list or doc lib and go to settings -> list settings then scroll down to views and select the view name that you are using (probably set to default) then in there scroll down and there is an item limit setting. Increase that number and click ok. then try again by reopening word and the file.

If not let me know and I have some other idea

Yes, that works thanks.

But really, Word 2003 kind of works better because it allows you to select any list item.   How many I choose to view while in SharePoint shouldn't affect my ability to select an item in Word don't ya think?

Ahh well!   That's probaby the only solution so I will mark this answered, thanks.
