"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The Cisco 4.3 install CD will not work "as-is" on a server unless it is an exact hardware match to the Cisco required hardware (right down to the CPU clock speed and memory size). The OS and sytem/software are all part of the package.  There are some work arounds to install onto an existing Win2003 srv but requires many, many hacks to get it to work.  Also, check that the media is CD, and not a DVD and your server has a DVD drive (if the media is in fact DVD).
