Adobe Audition failure

One of the computers on my network has an issue with Adobe Audition 3.0.  Every time the user clicks on the link immediately an error message pops up that says the programs has encountered a problem and needs to close.  The computer has been restarted multiple times and the programs has been reinstalled multiple times also.  I am including the error report along with this post.

Try deleting evrything in the TEMP folder aclaus225, sometimes temp stored files from a previous install will prevent a new install, if you had any trial versions they need to be updated only.
Remove any folders in Program files that have the name Adobe attached.
Look for any services that maybe running and stop them
See if this guide can assist you
Manually remove Adobe Audition 2.0 (Windows)

I have done these steps Merete.  I am now including the latest error file
f4ad-appcompat.txt
See if these can assist
Troubleshoot installation problems (Audition 3 on Windows XP)
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402646.html
Troubleshoot system errors or freezes in Audition 3.0 ( Windows XP)
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402649.html
I will look into these, but there doesn't seem to be any large help there apart from telling me to reinstall Windows.
