Blackberry BIS , Exchange 2007 problems

Hi,

Over the holidays we installed updates on the server (SBS2k8) and now all our Blackberry's have stopped working.
OWA is working fine.
In BIS if i put the OWA address in, I get the following error :

Cannot Connect to email server or invalid server name :
Please verify the Outlook Web Access URL. If the error persists please contact .... me!

OWA is working fine internal and external though. I can only assume it's an update on the server as they all went down at the same time.
We're running Exchange 2007 Version 8.1 (Build 240.6)

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
Are you sure that OWA is working from outside?
I guess it was working before, check that you don't have a windows firewall or something bloking on the server and finally check which updates you have set up.

I would suggest you just remove all latest installed hotfixes from add remove program in control panel, after that reboot the server once and check.

1) in BIS put https://owa.yourdomain.com without the /exchange or /owa
2) make sure the /ews virtual directory is reachable from the internet (i.e. it is published if you are using ISA)
3) on your CAS server run
0
Creating Active Directory Users from a Text File

If your organization has a need to mass-create AD user accounts, watch this video to see how its done without the need for scripting or other unnecessary complexities.

oops that is

3) on your car server run

get-webservicesvirtualdirectory | set-webservicesvirtualdirectory basicauthentication $true

yes OWA works from outside.
Would rather fix this issue that uninstall fixes.

Akhater : I can access https://servername.com/ews externally (prompts for username / password)
when I go to run the line in the power shell on the CAS server (SBS so it's all the same) I get an error message saying :

Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory : A parameter cannot be found that matches para
meter name 'True'.
At line:1 char:66
+ get-webservicesvirtualdirectory | set-webservicesvirtualdirectory  <<<< asica
uthentication $true

Any further ideas?

OK. Ran the command - came back ok.
Go to BIS and setup the account - if I do https://company.com/owa - same error. If I do https://company.com I get An error occured during account validation, please check information and try again. If error persists.....
What now?

I take it that you use https://companyname.com/owa for owa access?
Is so you shld enter https://companyname.com without /owa. The user shld be domain\user

optimus_nzAuthor Commented:
yes to /owa
entered without owa and changed username to domain\username and domain.local\username - still same error about account validation?
